How does counselling work?

I use Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) — a practical, goal-oriented approach that focuses on what’s working and where you want to go, rather than getting stuck in the past.

Together, we explore mind management techniques to help you shift unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional strength, and move forward with confidence.

Each session is tailored to your needs, helping you gain clarity, take action, and feel more in control.

How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural process that uses relaxation and focus to help you make positive changes.

During a session, I’ll guide you into a calm, relaxed state — where your mind becomes more open to helpful suggestions. In this state, it’s easier to shift unhelpful patterns, reduce stress, and create new ways of thinking. It's gentle and effective.

Is it confidential?

Yes — everything we discuss is completely private and confidential.

The only exception is if there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else’s. In those rare cases, I may need to break confidentiality, but this would always be handled with care and transparency.

Your privacy and trust are a top priority.

How many sessions do I need?

That’s entirely up to you.

Some people find that 2 or 3 sessions, what we call a brief intervention, is enough to see positive change. Others choose to continue for longer, depending on their goals and what they’re working through.

There’s no one-size-fits-all.
We go at your pace, based on what feels right for you.

What if I've never had therapy before?

That’s completely okay, many clients are new to this. I’ll guide you through the process step by step and make sure you feel comfortable from the start.
